Course Objectives: At the end of this class, students will have a firm understanding of conducting High Risk Vehicle Stops incorporating Vehicle Close Quarter Combat principles. Students will be shown PowerPoints with statistics, ballistic demonstrations, as well as run dry and live fire drills to hone skills.

Student Materials: 
•    Full duty belt
•    Ballistic vest
•    Firearm with 3 magazines (pistol and/or rifle)
•    Eye and ear protection


Prior to training commencing at the quarry/range, a thorough safety and med brief will be conducted. Coomer by instructors will be primary medical officer, Appointed by instructors will be a secondary. Lieutenant Weber will be primary communications officer, Coomer will be secondary. The location of the IFAK kit will be known to all. An extensive safety briefing will be conducted to establish a plan, establish a mindset, define what is and is not acceptable, as well as to limit department liability. Students who have egregious or multiple safety violations will continue the day with a SIM gun.
