This presentation is intended to serve as a continuing update of the evolution of the Law in Illinois for the perspective of Law Enforcement Officers.  It is geared toward providing police officers with the latest analysis of “hot topics” that directly affect their profession.  It will consist of brief updates in areas of the law such as:
•    Search and Seizure
•    Confessions and Admissions
•    Statutory Construction Law
•    Criminal Justice Law
•    Juvenile Justice Law
•    Constitutionality of Statutes Law
•    Vehicle Code Violations Law
•    Sex Offenses and Offenders Law
•    Legislation

These recent enactments and cases will be analyzed in order to determine what impact they have upon law enforcement officers and what future enactments may be expected.  It is intended to provide officers with a method of keeping up with evolving areas of the law by analyzing the very latest cases and legislative enactments that have a major impact upon the Illinois Law Enforcement community.
